What’s Happening Week of 4/25
Welcome back! We hope you all had a great Spring Break. Here, we enjoyed a fun week with our Martial Arts and Acrobatix Workshops! It was great to meet new faces. Congratulations to our medal winners!
Skill of the Week is Sparring Skills and Drills (no gear for regular class)
UNIFORM
Students may wear now start wearing your short sleeve training shirt with your white pants to class. If you would like to get (a new) one, we will be getting more in shortly!
ASIAN AMERICA FESTIVAL is back and we are in it!
Saturday May 14 (rain date 5/15) from 12-5 PM at the North Hempstead Beach Park.
Our fantastic demo team will be performing for the first time this year for Korea between 1:30-2PM.
We hope you can come and cheer us on and enjoy all the wonderful festivities from the seven representing countries.
RAFFLE FOR UKRAINE
“I wondered why somebody didn’t do something. Then I realized. I am somebody.” Unknown.
We are raffling a Champions of Life Martial Arts or Acrobatics Birthday Party to raise money for the victims of the Ukrainian war.
Proceeds will be given to St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Catholic Church to help fund relief efforts led by three Port volunteer moms. Please consider donating to this very critical cause.
Drawing will be on May 13th!
PROMOTION TEST
Next test date is Saturday May 21st. Candidates for promotion will be notified to save the date this week. The review class is Tuesday 5/17.
SUMMER SIGN UPS
WEEKLY CLASSES- Classes in the summer will start later during the week to give everyone time to get home from camp.
TKD MEMBERSHIP-
If you are going on hold for July and August, please let us know by 6/15. If you are interested in the 4-anytime class pack, please let us know by 6/15 also.
CYCLONE ACROBATIX weekly classes-
6 WEEK SESSION – Classes are Monday and Thursday at 5:15 and 6PM from 6/27-8/11.(No class 7/4 and 7/7))
Limited spots. Cost $240. Ages 6 and up. All levels welcome.
ACROBATIX 3 DAY SESSIONS- Tues-Thurs 9-12:30PM – Choose from 6 sessions offered weekly from 6/28-8/11 (not 7/5-7/7 week). Cost $275/session. Ages 6 and up. All Levels welcome. Bring your lunch and snack!
We will run each week that there are a minimum of 6 participants- so tell your friends!
MEPOWERMENT WEEK will be offered Monday-Friday from 9-12:30PM week of 8/22-26 (and possibly 8/29-9/2 if there is enough interest). Cost $375 plus uniform.
For ages 5-12 years. Bring your lunch and a snack!
