Skill of the Week is Poomsae and Discipline.

ASIAN AMERICA FESTIVAL is coming! Fun for the Family! Saturday May 14 (rain date 5/15) from 12-5 PM at the North Hempstead Beach Park. Our fantastic demo team will be performing for the first time this year for Korea between 1:30-2PM. We hope you can come and cheer us on and enjoy all the wonderful festivities from the seven representing countries.
CALLING ALL TKD CHAMPIONS to the Friendship Festival On June 18th, we will be participating in our first interschool event with our two sister dojangs- Strong Martial Arts and NY Black Belt Club. It will be held at Holy Cross High School in Flushing starting at 12PM. This non-competitive gathering is an amazing introduction to understanding what happens at a TKD tournament. Every participant will demonstrate their poomsae and breakings for other masters, meet Grandmaster Lee, mingle with other like-minded TKD students and grow from this MePowering experience! To save your place, please sign up by June 1st. The cost is $75 and includes 3 boards at the event, plus we will run an optional practice session the week of the event.
RAFFLE FOR UKRAINE Thank you to those who have participated so far! Please consider joining us in supporting the ongoing relief work for Ukraine by entering our raffle to win a Champions of Life Martial Arts or Acrobatics Birthday Party. (Value $595). Tickets are: 1 for $10, 3 for $25 and 10 for $50. Proceeds will be donated to the St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Catholic Church efforts led by three Port volunteer moms. Please consider donating to this very critical cause. Drawing will be on May 13th!
SUMMER 2022-
If you are interested in joining us for any of our summer offerings, we will need to hear from you over the next two weeks so we can plan for you accordingly:
Summer CLASSES
1- TKD classes will begin later to give students time to get home from camp, grab a snack (and maybe a shower! :)) before class time.
Our 4-ANYTIME CLASS pack will be available for those of you who are in town, but can’t attend weekly. You can come to any 4 classes over July and August.
It’s important to keep up your skills over the summer months!
2- CYCLONES Acrobatix- There will be a weekly 6 week mini-session offered on Mondays and Thursdays at 5:15 and 6:00PM.
Summer MINI-CAMPS-
1- CYCLONES ACROBATIX CAMP will be offered on Tuesday- Thursday from 9AM-12:30PM during the first 6 weeks (7/ 5-7, 7/12-14, 7/19-22, 7/26-28, 8/2-8/4, 8/9-8/11) and will run each week that there are enough participants.
2- MEPOWERMENT CAMP will be offered Monday-Friday from 9-12:30PM on 8/22-26 (and possibly 8/29-9/2 if there is enough interest).
